While travelling in China,
arrange a full check-up at a Grade 3A hospital
You can add an advanced check-up to an existing leisure or business trip to China. YILV CHINA coordinates your personalised screening plan with the check-up centre of a leading public Grade 3A hospital and secures the specialist appointment slot. On the agreed date you go straight to the hospital for the check-up and pay the full statutory check-up fee directly at the hospital's dedicated counter.

1. Why are more and more Malaysian families choosing to have their check-up in China?
Top-tier Grade 3A hospital check-up centres in China draw on large clinical and research centres and are equipped with a first-tier, high-sensitivity testing matrix. A check-up is not merely a routine blood pressure reading; it is a whole-system, in-depth early screening line of defence.
Advanced equipment across Grade 3A facilities
Full access to ultra-high-field 3.0T MRI, ultra-low-dose high-resolution dual-source CT, comfortable painless high-definition electronic gastroscopy and colonoscopy (with NBI narrow-band imaging), and a complete panel of peripheral blood circulating tumour marker tests. Even early lesions of a few millimetres are far less likely to be missed.
Twofold value for Malaysian families
1. Zero burden on your trip: Kuala Lumpur to Guangzhou or Shenzhen is only about 4 hours, and under the visa-free policy you can start the check-up early in the morning and be free to shop and sightsee in the afternoon, fitting easily into a family holiday.
2. A low-cost way to open a record: if your family is already considering complex oncology or specialist care in China, a check-up is the lightest way to see the facilities first-hand and to establish an official Grade 3A record.
Scientifically tailored, never an assembly-line package
We firmly reject the one-size-fits-all approach of commercial providers that pads out the item list. The chief physician team at the public Grade 3A hospital tailors the plan precisely to the person's age band, family history, smoking habits and past surgery, so every part of the check-up budget is spent where it matters.
2. How check-up items are tailored and how check-up fees are settled
High-frequency carotid ultrasound, coronary CTA or calcium scoring, echocardiography and transcranial Doppler (TCD), to quantify vascular plaque and arterial stiffness.
Hospital reference price: paid according to the imaging items you chooseElectronic gastroscopy and colonoscopy under intravenous sedation. If early polyps are found, the Grade 3A endoscopist can biopsy or remove them on the spot and send the specimen for pathology.
Hospital reference price: paid at the Grade 3A endoscopy statutory rateThree-dimensional thin-slice low-dose spiral CT (with AI-assisted quantitative analysis for lung nodules), with far higher resolution than a conventional chest X-ray and very low radiation.
Hospital reference price: paid at the Grade 3A imaging statutory rateFor women: mammography and high-frequency colour Doppler ultrasound, gynaecological TCT+HPV. For men: prostate-specific antigen (PSA). Plus a full panel of tumour biochemistry and molecular markers.
Hospital reference price: charged directly at the laboratory's published ratesClean settlement discipline: YILV CHINA does not bundle and sell fixed packages and does not advertise so-called "CNY 50,000 / CNY 100,000 luxury bundles". The hospital issues an itemised receipt based on the check-up centre's officially approved plan, and the patient pays immediately at the public hospital front desk by international credit card, WeChat Pay or Alipay.
3. Matched with check-up centres at key public Grade 3A hospitals nationwide
We coordinate Grade 3A check-up scheduling flexibly around the main city you will visit in China (for example the historic capital route in Beijing, the Jiangnan route around Shanghai, or the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area around Guangzhou) and around your specific health concerns.
East China · Shanghai centreEquipped with a clinical referral pathway to a leading Asian proton and heavy-ion centre and a high-precision painless endoscopy centre. Suited to Malaysian families planning an East China trip (Shanghai / Hangzhou / Suzhou).
South China · Guangzhou / Shenzhen centreA direct flight from Kuala Lumpur to Guangzhou takes only 4 hours, with no time difference. The check-up centre is quiet, and supports a full range of minimally invasive targeted screening for the digestive tract and nasopharynx.
North China · Beijing centreIt has one of the country's highest-standard multidisciplinary joint imaging review panels, with high early consultation rates for difficult lesions. Suited to Malaysian examinees planning study, family visits or business in North China.
4. From assessing your needs in Malaysia to completing the check-up, step by step
Coordination is completed in four steps, with tightly controlled timing so that nothing clashes with your itinerary.
Step 1 · Submit your check-up request
Tell us the Chinese cities you plan to stay in (for example Beijing / Shanghai / Guangzhou), your intended travel dates, how many people will be examined, and any health indicators or family history you want to focus on.
Step 2 · Plan and hospital matching
The YILV CHINA team coordinates with Grade 3A hospital check-up centres in your target city. The hospital's check-up department assesses your case and then issues 1-2 best-matched item lists with recommended scheduling.
Step 3 · Locking the schedule and direct payment
We lock the appointment slot for your chosen examination date and confirm the requirements (such as fasting). The statutory check-up fee is paid in full directly to the public Grade 3A hospital at the hospital counter, either at this step or on the day.
Step 4 · On-site check-up and handover
Follow the booking instructions to the hospital check-up centre and complete the examinations for each department. After the reports are issued, YILV CHINA collects them, hands them over to the examinee and sets up an electronic health record.
5. Core section: the coordination fee and four clean boundaries
For the first time, our real pricing structure is published openly. We keep the platform's service fee completely separate from the hospital's medical fees.
After you submit your check-up enquiry, a medical case manager reviews feasibility and determines whether the Grade 3A hospital in your target city has availability, how many days to set aside, and what basic information still needs to be supplied.
- Professional matching and submission of your plan to a Grade 3A hospital check-up centre
- Confirmation of your chosen date and specialist appointment slot
- Pre-check-up guidance and a bilingual fasting / contraindication checklist
- Following up on your results, and compiling and properly handing over the complete file
You are entirely free to go to the hospital yourself (there are public hospital signs all the way). If elderly family members are travelling with you and need full in-hospital accompaniment, private car transfers or bilingual guidance on the day of the check-up, you can add the on-ground escort service.
The Grade 3A hospital collects the check-up fee officially, and the exact amount is set by the item list issued by the hospital check-up centre. The examinee pays directly at the hospital's official counter or through its online account.
The USD 300 buys one professional referral service from the YILV CHINA cross-border clinical coordination team, not "check-up eligibility". Eligibility for a check-up at a public Grade 3A hospital is entirely open and transparent. What we provide is the technical work of removing the language barrier, removing cross-border registration barriers, tailoring highly suitable medical items, securing scarce Grade 3A appointment slots, and archiving reports to a proper standard. Service endpoint: the service ends once check-up hospital coordination and scheduling are confirmed. Check-up fees are paid by the client directly to the hospital; on-site accompaniment and in-hospital guidance on the check-up day fall under the separately quoted "on-ground appointment accompaniment and escort service" and are not included in the USD 300.
6. After the check-up:
what happens if something is found
Many Malaysian families come to China for a holiday and add a full check-up while they are here. The value of a check-up is not in "getting it done", but in whether somebody catches the finding afterwards, who you go to next, and which fee you will be paying. Below is how we divide the work with the receiving hospital team, and where each side's fee boundary sits.
We standardise and archive all check-up DICOM raw images and biochemistry reports in the format required for Grade 3A specialist review, advise whether further tests or a referral are needed, and set out the pathways open to you next.
Drawing on the in-hospital specialist collaboration system of the check-up hospital, difficult findings such as tiny nodules can move seamlessly to an in-house specialist consultation, with no repeat registration or scheduling. The consultation fee is paid by you directly to the hospital.
If you would like a written expert opinion that can be used directly to claim second-opinion reimbursement under a Malaysian policy, you can take the separate "Second Opinion MDT" channel. This is an entirely different charge from the check-up coordination fee.
If formal treatment in China is needed, this follows the "medical record restructuring + specialist review + submission to and coordination with the hospital" standard; the service ends once hospital coordination and appointment registration are complete, and subsequent care in China is handled by the receiving hospital team.
Drawing on the check-up hospital's in-hospital specialist consultation collaboration system, difficult nodules can be reviewed seamlessly by in-house specialists, with no need to queue and register again.
The relevant check-up and specialist documents are issued by the receiving hospital team, so that on your return to Malaysia you can update your family doctor or treating specialist and keep the record in step.
Raw check-up images and reports are archived in the Grade 3A submission format, so whether you have follow-up tests in Malaysia or travel to China for treatment later, the files never need to be retrieved again.
7. Legal and professional division of roles in interpreting check-up reports
Medicine is a highly rigorous science. YILV CHINA keeps to the compliance limits of a cross-border coordinator. Each party stays within its own role, firmly safeguarding the patient's right to be informed and their health and safety.
- Lawful issuance of reports: all laboratory (biochemistry, pathology, cytology) and imaging (CT/MRI/ultrasound) reports are signed and issued by physicians holding Chinese attending physician qualifications or above;
- Professional overall medical conclusions: a senior reviewing physician at the check-up centre issues the Summary Check-up Recommendations, giving clear clinical management advice for abnormal positive findings.
- Medical translation and material archiving: we standardise Chinese proper nouns and laboratory parameters, and help provide a Chinese-English glossary index;
- Strictly observing role boundaries: the YILV CHINA team never oversteps by giving a diagnosis or prescribing medication. We say this professionally and sincerely:
"The check-up report shows an abnormal marker that needs further specialist assessment. We will book you in with the relevant department chief right away."
8. Frequently asked questions about health check-ups in China FAQ
Clear answers on the practical arrangements and money flows that matter most to every Malaysian family.
Roughly how much should I budget for a check-up at a Grade 3A hospital?
Check-up costs vary widely depending on what you want to focus on. A basic cardiopulmonary and routine biochemistry package is usually CNY 1,500 ~ 3,000 (about RM 950 ~ 1,900); if it includes painless gastroscopy and colonoscopy, low-dose chest spiral CT or 3.0T MRI and other in-depth screening, it usually ranges from CNY 4,000 ~ 8,000. All statutory fees are open and transparent, and are paid by card at the hospital counter against the receipt.
What does the USD 300 platform coordination fee include and exclude?
Included: review and tailoring of the check-up plan, submission to and coordination with the public Grade 3A check-up centre, securing the schedule and specialist slots, pre-departure preparation guidance, and following up on reports and archiving them to a proper standard. The service ends once check-up hospital coordination and scheduling are confirmed.
Not included: the check-up fee paid directly to the hospital; travel arrangements such as flights and accommodation. On-site accompaniment and guidance on the day of the check-up are arranged by the receiving hospital team.
If the check-up finds a suspicious lesion, how is the follow-up charged?
Three cases, set out clearly: ① A move to an in-hospital specialist consultation after the check-up is arranged by the receiving hospital team, and the platform charges no further coordination fee; the consultation fee is paid by you directly to the hospital. ② If you need a written multidisciplinary second opinion, this is the separate "Second Opinion MDT" product, at that product's fixed fee of USD 300. ③ If treatment in China is confirmed as necessary, this follows the "Referral for treatment in China" product (medical record restructuring + specialist review + submission to and coordination with the hospital), likewise at a fixed fee of USD 300. The USD 300 for the check-up is a one-off check-up hospital coordination service fee and does not cover the latter two, and there is no such thing as a "free transfer".
I have not set off from Malaysia yet. Can everything be arranged in advance?
Certainly. We usually suggest submitting your enquiry online 7-10 days before you intend to depart. We help you match the city centre and the check-up day, so that as soon as you land in China you can go to the hospital on the agreed schedule, without wasting any of your precious holiday time.
The Malaysian family members travelling with me do not speak Mandarin. How will we communicate during the check-up?
Public Grade 3A check-up centres in South China (Guangzhou / Shenzhen) widely have Cantonese- and English-speaking medical staff; special needs centres at Grade 3A hospitals in East China and Beijing usually provide basic bilingual guidance. If you would like a nurse or interpreter who is familiar with the Malaysian Chinese context to assist and guide you throughout, you can add the "on-ground escort and guidance service".
How many days does the check-up report usually take to be issued? What happens after I return to Malaysia?
Basic laboratory tests are usually issued the same day; pathology biopsies or complex cytology tests take 3-5 working days. If you have already flown back to Malaysia after the check-up, YILV CHINA will chase the hospital for the complete set of electronic originals, translate the key summary, and send it to you through an encrypted medical channel, or help courier the physical copies to your home in Malaysia by SF Express / DHL.
9. Submit your check-up request first, and we will assess free of charge whether it can be arranged
